The verse of Isaiah 2:22 struck my heart deeply today during my Bible reading. It echoed in my spirit like a personal command from the Lord: “Jürgen, stop trusting in man in someone whose breath is in his nostrils, who is limited in his days and strength. Why rely on him for what only the Creator can provide? Why expect from him the safety, wisdom, and satisfaction that only God offers?”

Worship the Giver – NOT the gift
“Do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.” — Matthew 6:31–32 (NIV)
